Historical Development :In 1964 Most Rev. Archbishop Ganguly, csc invited the SMRA Sisters to serve the people in Solepur. St. Joseph’s Convent is located at Solepur Mission, Shirajdikhan, Munshigonj.

Apostolate:  From the beginning one Sister was assigned in teaching in the High School and one in the Gov. Primary School. In 2015 the Sisters discontinued teaching in in the high school due to Government policy and some reasons. At present one Sister is teaching in the Mission Primary School. Three Sisters have been involved in nursing care in the dispensary. Sisters give service in the parish pastoral work guided by the parish priest.

Pastoral Ministry: Sisters are involved in parish pastoral ministry, family ministry, Marian Songha,  Shishu Mongol, prepare altar, lead parish liturgy under the direction of parish priest.
